What is sacred art

Sacred Art is art that celebrates the sacredness in all life. Sacred art is inspired by a connection with the Divine and the beauty of creation. Sacred art seeks to inspire and awaken hearts and minds to our connectedness to the spiritual world and to each other. Sacred art is an expression of gratitude and reciprocity for the gifts that we have been given.

Who we are

The Sacred Art Collective is a group of artists committed to bringing the Divine’s light into the world through our art. We seek to deliver a positive and healing message.

Our work celebrates that we are all loved beyond measure and affirms the yearning for Divine Love, Beauty, and Connection. Each artist’s aim is to engage the viewer in uplifting, playful, and transformative ways. As a collective, we are a circle of equal voices who come together as artists to support each other’s creativity, growth, and expression.

I search for the ‘Divine Spark’ in all living things. Sometimes it reveals itself in surprising ways. Making discoveries like these has always been a favorite pastime of mine.

I tap into the exhilarating feeling of discovery: capturing a peony as it unfolds and blossoms, or clouds adrift over a distant horizon at sunset, or seeing a fellow human being transform right before one’s eyes.

Embrace the element of surprise here and let it challenge and delight you. My hope is that you will come away from viewing my work with a fresh outlook and a tempered, courageous heart that is ready to meet the future head-on.

The driving force behind my sculpture is a passion to serve the greater good through works of beauty that are intended to inspire and uplift the viewer. Creating art is a devotional process for me, a way I contemplate and connect with the Divine, and I seek to make visible that which is invisible.

Like the wind, the Spirit’s presence is felt, not seen. That is why I love using the halo in my work. It is an outward sign of an inward spiritual grace, and the figures I sculpt are beings directly experiencing Divine love.

Sculpting humans as enlightened reminds me that everyone has the potential to deepen this relationship.  May we all drop into our hearts and choose to radiate love and compassion into the world.

The beauty, joy and breathtaking awe that the Sacred inspires can be found everywhere and in all things. It can be seen in dissecting the extreme architecture of a flower. It can be felt in the comfort of God’s peace, when all is swirling around us. It can be lived in the dreams that push us to be better versions of ourselves.

God comes to us and wants us to experience him in all of our senses. My pieces begin to reflect the breadth and scope of the Sacred. Attempting to display all aspects of the Divine though, is a bit like limiting a kaleidoscope to only one design; impossible and pointlessly limiting.

I hope that you enjoy my attempts, and thank you for taking the time to share in the glimpses of the Divine.
